Cesar Henao: An Artistic Journey
Studies & Experience
César Henao, a French artist of Colombian origin, pursued formal training at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, where he received the highest distinction awarded unanimously by a jury led by the Belgian kinetic sculptor Pol Bury.
Large Installation
In 1987, Henao created his first large-scale ephemeral installation in response to the Chernobyl disaster, which dispersed radioactive particles throughout Europe. Using the SPOT-1 satellite, he captured the place of his installation, highlighting the dangers of uncontrolled technology.

Current Projection
From the Fractals of Benoît Mandelbrot to René Thom’s catastrophe theory, Henao's work constantly evolves, reflecting his keen interest in integrating art and science. As a notable figure, he continues to explore themes of singularity, kinetics, and sensory experiences through his diverse practices and exhibitions.
