Infinitisations: The Artistic Exploration of Singularity

Singularity : Philosophical Foundation
Singularity is a multifaceted concept that defies conventional understanding. It encompasses in my mind three paradigms: the Singularity of Being, Gravitational Singularity, and Technological Singularity. These paradigms form the backbone of my work, serving as both mental and visual tools.

The Singularity of Being : Enigma of Ontological Uniqueness
Jean-Luc Nancy's reflections on singularity offer a profound understanding of the unique existence of individuals. He posits that each person's singularity is a distinct, irreplaceable element of the human experience, challenging us to recognize and celebrate this inherent value and complexity

Gravitational Singularity: The Perception Field
In cosmology, a gravitational singularity, such as a black hole, represents the end of space and time. This phenomenon pushes the boundaries of human comprehension, serving as a metaphor for the infinite and the unknown, and embodying the enigmatic nature of existence.

Technological Singularity: Societal Phenomenon
Technological singularity anticipates a future where artificial intelligence surpasses human capabilities, leading to profound societal changes. This paradigm raises significant ethical, philosophical, and existential questions, challenging our understanding of identity, autonomy, and humanity.

Art : The visual enigma
My work encapsulates the enigma and mystery of singularity, drawing inspiration from these profound concepts. By integrating these paradigms, I aim to create art that invites viewers into a dialogue about the unknown, encouraging deep reflections on the connections between art, humanity, and the cosmos.

The Visual Chapter in Infinitisations Series

The Infinitisations Series embodies my quest to understand and express the infinite potentials within unique, singular moments of existence. These works explore the tension between the finite (the observer) and the infinity of black (the end of space), evoking contemplation of existence and the universe.

The works presented are part of the "Infinitisations" series. They find their inspiration in the imaginary relationship between what I can call "the singularity of being" and that of a "black hole" or gravitational singularity.

These works explore the relationship of the finite, that of the observer and the infinity of black, which evokes the end of space.

Infinitisations Series initiated in 2016
